Leslie purchased the 1847 Blake House Inn Bed & Breakfast in January 2006 and runs the 6-bedroom pet- & child-friendly Inn single-handedly. Her hope is to one day start a dog sanctuary to operate alongside a pet-friendly B&B somewhere in the south.

Originally from the Washington, DC suburbs in Northern Virginia, Leslie spent eight years in Orlando, FL before coming to Asheville.

Leslie has a B.S. in Psychology from George Mason University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Clemson University. She worked in human resources for 10 years for various companies including a debit card processor and a large video game producer before giving it all up to purchase Blake House.

She lives with her son, Brian, along with her 3 rescue dogs (Hummer, a weimaraner, and Jenny & Squirt, Jack Russell/Chihuahua mixes), and 4 cats (Whiskers, Baby Girl, Mickey & Minnie).
